The District 1 training will be held Tuesday, December 17 at Ole Times Country Buffet 1193 St Augustine Rd, Valdosta, GA 31601. Plan on being there a little before 12 noon to avoid the lunch crowd. This is a dutch treat – the meal is $6.00 drink included. There will be 2 hours of executive training provided at this meeting.
The Snellville Police Department will host the 9th District Meeting on December 18th. Breakfast will begin serving at 9 a.m. with the training set to start at 10:00 a.m. Parking will be available in the lot inside the raised arms, in the parallel spaces along Clower Street and the parallel spaces along the entrance to city hall off Clower Street. There is also a parking lot across Clower from the police department and if dry, parking on the grass field across from the police department. There will also be parking in the city hall lot; but court will be in session, so please park to the rear of the lot. Training will be provided by ASAC Rocky Bingham of the G.B.I. on officer involved shootings. There is no need to RSVP.
The final GACP District 7 meeting will be on Thursday December 19, 2019 hosted by Chief Wheatley, Grovetown DPS.

Daigle Law Group LLC is proud to announce the new Advanced Internal Affairs Training Program. This program has a prerequisite of having attended any five-day Internal Affairs training programs within the last five years. This training is designed to engage the attendee’s knowledge and experience with conducting Administrative investigations. The Advanced IA Training program focuses on more complex issues, specifically the mechanisms to ensure supervisors are conducting effective and constitutional investigations. The training is valuable for not only those assigned to the Internal Affairs function but all supervisors. We welcome supervisors from Police, EMS, Fire, Corrections and Municipal Human Resource professionals.
The investigations that are the most challenging in the Administrative area today are those that involve sexual misconduct, hostile work environment claims and Use of Force, including OIS or in-custody deaths. The training will review recommendations for conducting an effective investigation including proper legal and operational standards. The focus is establishing an operationally sound manner to consistently investigate serious allegations of misconduct to ensure support of an effective discipline system. This will include legal analysis, collection and presentation of evidence, use of technology, video analysis, and testimony preparation. The week-long training will provide instruction, analysis and table-top exercises requiring students to work through challenging investigations.

The District 2 Training will be held on January 15, 2020 at 12:00 pm. The meeting will be hosted at Golden Corral in Albany.
The Garden City Police Department will host a District 6 meeting and training session beginning at 9 AM on January 28th, 2020. The meeting and training is approved for two hours of executive training hours. Garden City PD is located at 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, GA 31405. Please park next to the police department in the vacant parking lot beside/behind the vacant shopping center building next to the department. There will be some one at the side door to let you in.
District 6 has been asked to hold an election to choose two District 6 representatives for the upcoming year. 1st Vice President Bruce Hedley would like for all the newly elected district representatives to attend a Goals Conference later on Tuesday, March 10th.
