It is the pleasure of the Oakwood Police Department to host the May District 9 meeting. The meeting will be held at the Lanier College and Career Academy located at 2719 Tumbling Creek Rd., Gainesville, GA 30504 in the Willow Room. This will be a catered meal, so please RSVP by May 11 with Lt. Bray at jbray@oakwoodpd.net. Training for the morning will be presented by Lt. Bray of the Oakwood Police Department and the topic is Use of Force Analysis in Unprecedented Times. This topic is an adaptation of a presentation that Lt. District 2 will be hosting their May meeting via Webex on May 18th. Please contact Chief Michael Persley, mpersley@albanyga.gov.
District 11 will be hosting their May meeting on May 18th at Golden Corral – Kennesaw.
The May GACP Executive Board Meeting will be held Thursday, May 19th. The Georgia Public Training Center will be hosting the meeting at their Forsyth location (1000 Indian Springs Drive, Forsyth, GA 31029) at 10:00 am.
The Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2020, at 11:00 am @ Wadley Community Complex. The Office of Public Safety Support will be speaking on Mental Health in Public Safety. Lunch will be catered by a local restaurant.
Dr. Darrell Ross of Valdosta State University will be hosting a 16-hour GACP approved training block titled Supervisory Liability Issues for the Criminal Justice Manager. The course will be held on May 25 – 26th at the Valdosta State University Center, 1313 North Patterson Street, Valdosta, Ga 31601. The class will start at 8 am. District 8 will be meeting June 9th at 11:00 am. The meeting will be hosted at the Cohutta Seventh Day Adventist Fellowship Hall. The training topic will be Leadership taught by Dr. Robert Overstreet. Training is available for 3 executive POST credits
The Suwanee Police Department will host the June District Nine Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Suwanee City Hall located at 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, GA on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Parking is available along Town Center Avenue and behind City Hall. You may also park at the Police Department and walk over if you wish. Breakfast will be served beginning at 9:00 am with training to immediately follow. Training will be provided by GACP Director Butch Ayers and will cover Legal/Legislative Updates. Please RSVP to Donna Copeletti at dcopeletti@suwanee.com to ensure there will be enough food on hand.

The June District 11 meeting will be on held June 15th. Sgt. Davis of Woodstock PD will be speaking on Red Dot Piston Technology.
The GACP Executive Board will be meeting June 23rd at the Brasstown Valley Resort. The meeting will begin at 10 am.
The Garden City Police Department will be hosting the District 6 meeting on June 28th. At this time, the prospect of a new District Representative will be discussed.
