Body Language Interpretation: A guide to understanding the people around us.

GBI Region 12 ASAC Josh Alford will be presenting an informational class that will be tailored to us as police administrators. The purpose of this class is to help us understand how our officers and the public are receiving the information we are giving to them. This will also help to read people and better understand the information that they are giving you. This will be helpful in a wide range of our duties as administrators from interviewing candidates for hire to internal investigations.

The meeting and lunch will be held at Southern Star Grill
Southern Star offers 2 options as a blue plate special every day as well as a full menu. As long as you choose one of the blue plate options the cost of the meal will be taken care of. If you choose a menu item you will be responsible for the cost.

Southern Star is located at 153 East Oak Street, McRae-Helena Georgia, 31055

If you do not want to include this in the email it’s fine but we would love to have anyone that wants to observe stop by. It is only a few minute drive from the school to the restaurant.

On the morning of the meeting from 9:00 until 12:00 we will be participating in our annual MOURNing After program at the Telfair County High School if anyone would like to come and observe what we do. This program will have several activities that our students will have to preform from driving a golf cart while wearing vision impairing goggles to doing simple task such as walk and turn while wearing the same goggles. Also we will have the Roll-Over Simulator on hand that day for any one that would like to see how it works and possibly schedule it for an event in their jurisdiction.
