Chief(RET) Dwayne Hobbs  will be on hand to present new smart phone technology that gives 911 operators the exact location of the caller.  Most 911 centers can only give the tower location and when they triangulate the call can only get a general area.  This piece of technology is like Uber for 911 giving an exact location.

Sep 23 @ 8:30 am – Sep 26 @ 12:30 pm

Law Enforcement Liability Half Day Training provided by Local Government Risk Management Solutions, Inc:

Dangerous Crossroads Ahead: The Intersection Of The First & Fourth Amendment

Our Law Enforcement agencies are increasingly encountering citizens boldly asserting what they think are constitutional rights guaranteed by the First and Fourth Amendments. This course examines the crossroads where these two constitutional principles intersect and provides practical tips for dealing with people who may be legitimately exercising constitutional rights, and others who are actively trying to bait officers into overreaction. Topics to be explored include refusal to identify, refusal to answer questions, dealing with bystanders, profanity towards officers, filming of police activity and police facilities, related officer safety concerns, weapons pat downs, and the seizure of cameras or cell phones that have recorded police activity.
