This training is an extended version of the Lead Learn Listen session that was featured at the GACP 2018 Winter Training Conference.

The District 5 meeting will be held May 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Mossy Pond Lodge (3099 Mayberry Road, Patterson, GA 31557).
The speaker will be US Secret Service Agent Jason Lynch. SA Lynch will be presenting an overview of the resources available through the USSS and current initiatives. Tania Groover from the United States Attorney’s Office will be at the meeting discuss the Project Safe Neighborhoods program.
During this meeting, an election will be conducted for the elected district representative.

The Winder Police Department will be hosting the District 9 May meeting and training session on Wednesday May 16th at the Winder Police Department located at 25 E Midland Ave Winder, Ga 30680. Coffee will be ready at 9a with breakfast served at 930a and the meeting beginning at 10a. The training will be provided by GACP Assistant Executive Director Dwayne Orrick and will be on the new proposed laws that affect Ga law enforcement. One in particular that will be discussed will be the proposed Hands-Free cell phone law. Assistant Director Orrick will also be discussing several others that GACP has followed that will directly affect law enforcement. Further, he will be discussing the dynamics of these laws and others as he followed them through the legislative process this Spring….. In addition to the training, during the business portion of the meeting, GACP President Dennis Nelson will be making a special presentation from GACP to State Representative Alan Powell, Chairman of the Public Safety committee, who plans to be present.
