Executive Director’s Message – Winter 2026

Happy New Year!!!  2025 is in the books.

GACP staff moved into the new building last month, and the contractors are finishing the punch list. Chief’s School Session 26-83, which begins on January 19^th, will be the first one in the new building. While they will enjoy a new classroom, they will certainly miss out on the 21-year ritual of having to park offsite.

The 2026 Session of the Georgia General Assembly starts on January 12^th, and Sine Die is scheduled for April 6^th.  We will be updating the legislative page on our website almost daily. Please mark your calendars and attend Chief’s Day at the Capitol on February 11^th. Additional information will be provided soon.

The 2026 Spring Training Conference will be held at the Gas South District Convention (Duluth GA) in early April. I hope to see you there.
