Key responsibilities include:
Compliance Tracking & Audits: Auditing internal and compliance documentation, identifying deficiencies, and correcting them through policy revisions, training, or operational changes.
CALEA Compliance Management: Maintain accreditation files, organize standards documentation, and upload proofs of compliance into tracking systems such as PowerDMS by NEOGOV.
Policy Administration: Draft and revise departmental policies, ensure alignment with federal/state law, and update directives when CALEA standards change.
Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports, documentation, and data tables to CALEA; report compliance status to department leadership
Qualifications:
- Education: An associate degree or higher with an emphasis on accounting, compliance, business, auditing and analytical coursework. Public safety experience preferred but not required.
- Experience: Detail-oriented professional with analytical thinking, compliance and audit experience. Ability to manage complex data, draft policies, and use document management systems and Microsoft Applications. Strong written/verbal communication and policy interpretation skills. CALEA or law enforcement accreditation experience preferred but not required.
