Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, serves as a subject matter expert in public safety training in Impaired Driving & Speed Detection Training topics. Participates in needs assessment, research, design and evaluation of statewide public safety training programs. In state and out of state travel for off-site and overnight training to include other GPSTC locations required. Minimum Qualifications: Twenty-four months of work experience as a general instructor in various law enforcement topics with specialized instruction in traffic law and traffic enforcement, specifically in alcohol/drug impaired driving, i.e. Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, Drug Recognition Expert and Speed Detection (RADAR & LIDAR).
