Hourly Rate: $31.28 (29-hour workweek)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required
Position Summary
The Security Operations Investigator is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across all facilities operated by the Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts. This position provides a consistent on-site security presence during regular business hours and supports enterprise-wide risk mitigation, facility security oversight, threat assessment, and incident response. The role also provides security support during official public functions and events as operationally required.
The position will be sworn in by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and must maintain active Georgia POST certification. While sworn, the authority exercised in this role is limited to duties within the scope of assignment to the Clerk’s Office and conducted in coordination with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement partners. This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation for approved overtime or additional hours worked will be administered in accordance with Fulton County policy.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts.
