GOHS Technology Grant FY 2026

The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) proudly announces that applications are being accepted for the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) FY 2026 Technology Grant to assist agencies with accurately reporting crash data to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Grant funding is limited to the purchase of computers, stands, and printers used to complete and submit electronic accident reports.

Eligibility Requirements

Agencies must be:

  • Responsible for investigating traffic crashes within its jurisdiction.
  • Currently making use of electronic means of reporting traffic crashes or commit to using funds from this grant to purchase the equipment and software to begin electronic reporting.
  • Actively attending GOHS meetings in the agency’s service area or commit to attending those meetings.
  • Currently reporting or willing to report enforcement data for specific mobilizations via gareporting.com.
  • Provide proof of expenditures and compliance with the grant requirements to GACP on or prior to July 1, 2026.

In addition, agencies applying for this grant must provide:

  • An estimate listing the number of devices to be purchased along with individual and total prices of each.
  • Notation that the agency has not received funding from this grant within the past three years.
  • Sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) committing to the grant requirements.
